SAK Construction is behind schedule and will begin work Tuesday, July 11th, at the entrance. The parking cones will remain in the parking spaces at the front entrance giving their trucks access for the day. Please be careful entering and exiting the community. We will keep you updated, and thank you for your cooperation.
SAK Construction, LLC has been contracted by Nashville Metro for a sewer rehabilitation project that runs through our property. They will be accessing the city owned easement below the WoodValley condos for maintenance and repair of the 8- inch sewer main that follows the railroad tracks.
Their plan is to make a small path through the woods on the easement just big enough for their equipment to get through to start the clearing on Monday, July 10, 2023 at noon, 12pm. They will lead to the maintenance and repair phases over a period of time. While we understand the window for completion is spring 2024, we also understand completion could be as soon as November 2023 and every attempt will be made to achieve this date.
It should take approximately a month to clear the needed portion at the entrance for access. During the first week or two, we understand it will be the heaviest truck/congestion time. SAK Constructionwill make every attempt to move trucks in and out during non-peak rush hours. During these times, traffic control will be provided both at the Hwy 100 traffic light and just beyond the guard house at the sharp bend in Harpeth Trace Drive just above the site.
Little or no staging of trucks or large equipment in parking or paved areas will be necessary. Theresident/guest parking area adjacent to the guard house will not be used except in case of emergency.
SAK Construction will restore our entrance back to its original condition. This will include the repair of any damages to asphalt, concrete, flower beds, grass, irrigation systems, etc. The access opening at the wood line will be filled in with appropriate landscaping.
The restoration work at the entrance will be performed by LSI, our current HOA landscaper, torestore the plants, vegetation, and the walking path back to the original order.
The existing sewer line needs rehabilitation, and Metro has the responsibility and legal easement along the Wood Valley property line necessary to do this work. SAK Construction is working with the HTSA Board of Directors, and we plan to have this project completed as quickly and painlessly as possible.
During this time, we ask everyone to drive slowly into and out of the neighborhood and to please tell friends, family, vendors and guests to do the same.
Thank you,
Harpeth Trace Board of Directors
